A few design decisions decide whether a part moulds cleanly or fights you for its whole life. We optimise them before any steel is cut.
Uniform wall thickness
Even 1–3 mm walls cool evenly, no sink marks or warping, and a faster cycle.
Draft angles
Enough taper so the part releases cleanly, no drag marks or stuck parts.
Ribs & bosses
Stiffness without a sink mark on the show surface, correct ratios throughout.
Radii & fillets
Rounded corners for strength and clean material flow.
Gate & parting line
Placed away from cosmetic faces, so witness marks never show.
Designing out undercuts
Where we can remove a slider from the tool, we do, saving tooling cost and lead time.

Validate before you tool
We never cut steel on a moving design. The smart escalation de-risks your investment at every step:
- ●3D printing, check form, fit and looks (SLA/FDM/SLS).
- ●CNC in the real resin, test function and tolerance.
- ●Aluminium bridge tooling, real moulded parts to seed early sales while the production tool is built.
- ●Hardened production tooling, once the design and volume are locked.

DFM → tooling → T1 → production
DFM review
We evaluate your CAD, resin and volume and return a report, before any steel is cut.
Mould making
CNC and EDM cut the core and cavity in-house (typically a few weeks).
T1 samples
First shots in your production resin, we check fill, dimensions and finish, then refine to a golden sample.
Production
Approved parts, moulded at scale with full QC.
